WHO I AM
I am Eric James, founder of G.E.N. 5 Consultant Group. I grew up around people who worked hard and still came up short, not because they were not doing their best, but because the knowledge was never passed down. That reality never left me. When I joined the United States Navy, that changed. I learned what it means to operate with precision, accountability, and purpose. While deployed aboard the USS Boxer LHD 4, I came across a mural of an ape holding two anchors, and that image became more than a memory. The anchor represents stability, discipline, and holding firm under pressure. The ape represents adaptability, work ethic, and execution under any condition. That combination is the identity I carry into everything I build.
WHAT I STAND ON
I do not believe people fail because they are lazy. I believe most people were never shown how money flows, how taxes work, or how to protect what they earn. When that knowledge is missing, the mistakes that follow are not surprising, they are predictable. My entire approach is built around closing that gap.
HOW I THINK
I focus on fundamentals over trends, clarity over complexity, and execution over theory. If the foundation is wrong, everything built on top of it becomes a liability. I would rather help someone get it right from the beginning than clean up an expensive mistake later.
WHY THIS EXISTS
G.E.N. 5 was built for people in their first years of building something real, people who did not inherit a roadmap, people who are learning in real time, and people who want to do it right the first time. This is not about inspiration, it is about access to the knowledge and tools that should have been available from the start.
THE STANDARD
I operate with honor, courage, and commitment. These are not just words, they are the values I carried from military service into this work. Honor means doing right by every client even when no one is watching. Courage means working with people traditional financial systems overlook. Commitment means growing alongside the people I serve.
THE BOTTOM LINE
You can work hard your entire life and still lose ground if you do not understand how money works. That is not a motivation problem, that is a knowledge problem. G.E.N. 5 exists to solve it.
